Mohammadia: Income-generating projects for the benefit of former prisoners
Mohammadia – A total of 11 former detainees benefited, Thursday in Mohammadia, from equipment and financial aid to set up income-generating projects.
This operation is part of the integrated strategy for socio-professional reintegration initiated by the Mohammed VI Foundation for the reintegration of prisoners, under the effective presidency of HM the King.
This initiative is part of the implementation of the partnership agreement concluded between the Mohammed VI Foundation for the reintegration of detainees and the provincial commission of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), in favor of former prisoners.
In this context, equipment and financial aid were handed over to former detainees carrying income-generating projects, from Mohammadia prefecture, during a ceremony organized at the provincial center for the support of entrepreneurship in Mohammadia. .
Speaking on this occasion, the coordinator of the support and reintegration center in Casablanca, under the Mohammed VI Foundation for the reintegration of detainees, Hadda Bekach, indicated that the amount of these projects amounts to more than 342 thousand Dh , funded by the INDH.
The objective of this initiative is to fight against precariousness among former prisoners, restore their self-confidence, create employment opportunities and fight against recidivism, she explained.
