The Hespress monitoring and monitoring platform, covid.hespress.com/en, details as well that Morocco now has 523,620 confirmed cases, 9,207 deaths (i.e. a mortality rate of 1.76%), 510,958 healings, a total of 6,098,784 tests (an increase of 9,509), and 3,455 ongoing cases treatment including 204 in serious condition (5 under intubation). In addition, 9,363,220 people have received a first dose of the vaccine since the launch of the campaign while 7,094,691 are on the second dose, the health ministry said.
The most affected region is that of Casablanca-Settat, which has 202 new cases including 163 in Casablanca, 17 in Nouaceur, 9 in Mohammadia, 7 in El Jadida, 3 in Berrechid, 2 in Settat and 1 in Médiouna.
The second most affected region is Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, which records 91 new contaminations: 29 in Salé, 13 in Skhirate-Témara, 17 in Rabat, 16 in Kénitra, 8 in Sidi Kacem and 8 in Sidi Slimane.
The region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra is followed by that of Souss-Massa which identifies 51 new cases including 27 in Agadir, 22 in Inezgane, 1 in Tiznit and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha.
The fourth region most affected by new cases is that of Marrakech-Safi which takes stock of 37 new contaminations distributed as follows: 31 in Marrakech, 4 in Youssoufia, 1 in Rehmana and 1 in Essaouira.
For its part, the Tangier–Tetouan-Al Hoceima region reports 26 new infections including 9 in Tetouan, 9 in Tangier, 6 in M’diq Fnideq, 1 in Ouezzane and 1 in Al Hoceima, as well as that of Daraâ- Tafilalet in Errachidia (18), Ouarzazate (5), Zagora (2) and Midelt (1).
For its part, the region of Fès-Meknes observes 7 new cases (5 in Fez, 1 in Taza and 1 in El Hajeb), while 6 new cases are in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra in Lâayoune, and 4 in Dakhla Oued -Edahab in the city of Oued-Edahab and 3 in Guelmim Oued-Noun (2 in Guelmim and 1 in Assa-Zag).
The last regions to have a new case are that of the Oriental in Oujda-Angad and Beni Mellal-Khénifra in Khouribga.
