The Kingdom recorded during the 24 hours from Friday 4 p.m. to Saturday 4 p.m., 455 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, for a national total since the start of the epidemic of 523,620 proven contaminations. In addition, 9,363,220 people have received a first dose of the vaccine since the launch of the campaign while 7,094,691 are on the second dose, the health ministry said.
In details, the deaths are distributed as follows: 2 deaths in the Marrakech-Safi region in Marrakech, one new death in Souss-Massa in the city of Agadir, one death in that of Casablanca-Settat in Casablanca and a last one death in Guelmim-Oued Noun in Tan-Tan. The other regions of the Kingdom have not recorded any deaths in the last 24 hours.
In addition, Morocco has recorded 335 cures bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 510,958 remissions. The cure rate stands at 97.6% this Friday while the total of active cases is 3,455 cases.
Also according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health, the occupancy rate of intensive care beds stood at 6.5% this Saturday. Thus, the total of severe cases admitted to intensive care is 204, including 22 new critical cases within 24 hours. Cases under intubation stand at 5 cases, while cases under non-invasive ventilation number 101.
