It’s gone to last for Sergio Conceiçao at FC Porto. The Portuguese coach has extended his three-year contract with FC Porto, until June 2024.
Announcing the extension on Saturday, the president of the northern Portuguese club, Jorge Pinto da Costa, said the decision to extend was “very easy to take”
For his part, Sergio Conceiçao, who was speaking at a press conference, inferred that “this three-year contract” is synonymous with more responsibility “.
“I always have in mind one essential thing: the success of FC Porto on a professional level,” he said, adding that he was impatiently awaiting “the return of the supporters to the stadiums”.
The Portuguese, at the helm of FC Porto since 2017, has won two championships, a Portuguese Cup and two Super Cups.
Sergio Conceiçao had notably coached FC Nantes and other Portuguese clubs such as Sporting Braga and Vitoria Guimaraes.
