The energy bill was reduced by 14.9% at the end of March

The energy bill fell by 14.9% at the end of the first three months of 2021 compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the Foreign Exchange Office.

This change is explained by the drop in supplies of gas oils and fuel oil (-1.185 billion dirhams (billion dirhams) (billion dirhams), due to the drop in prices of 9.8% (4.407 DH / T at the end of March 2021 against 4.885 DH / T a year earlier), combined with the drop in quantities imported (-5.1%), specifies the Office in a note on foreign trade indicators for March 2021.

The quantities imported were at 1.603mT at the end of March 2021 against 1.689mT in the first quarter of 2020, the same source said.
