The situation of press companies at the center of a meeting between the ANME and the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports
Casablanca – The difficult situation of press companies in the light of the covid-19 pandemic, was at the center of a meeting on Monday in Rabat between the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Othman El Ferdaous, and a delegation representing the National Association of Media and Publishers (ANME).
According to a statement from the National Association of Media and Publishers, the delegation led by the president of ANME, Abdelmounaim Dilami, and composed of Fatima Zahra Ouriaghli, Ibrahim Mansour and Aziz Daki, called on the minister to support it. in the debate that it wants to start with the major global groups (GAFA) after having informed it of the steps it intends to take to this end.
The same source indicated that the minister promised to spare no effort on the one hand, to support all the steps that ANME wishes to undertake for the development of the sector and on the other hand, to work to continue to support the media companies over the next three months.
In this regard, Mr. El Ferdaous noted that the arrears of social security contributions had been paid and that they were being processed by the National Social Security Fund (CNSS).
He also underlined the commitment of the ministry to invest all avenues to support the sector and press companies in order to serve the profession and the mission it defends.
