Casablanca Stock Exchange: Closing up

The Casablanca Stock Exchange continued its upward trend on Monday, taking advantage of the good performance of large caps, in particular Itissalat Al-Maghrib (+ 0.29%), Attijariwafa Bank (+ 0.94%), BCP (+ 0.58 %) and LafargeHolcim Maroc (+ 1.18%).

At the final bell, the main index of the Casablanca odds, Masi, rose 0.37% to 11,855.49 points, and the MSI20 took 0.38% to 967.39 points. The Madex, a compact index made up of stocks quoted on a continuous basis, rose 0.38% to 9,639.43 points.

Internationally, the FTSE CSE Morocco 15 climbed 0.49% to 10,942.58 points, and the FTSE Morocco All-Liquid gained 0.39% to 10,125.21 points.

The benchmark Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) “Casablanca ESG 10”, for its part, improved by 0.38% to 901.16 points.

The Casablanca rating owes these performances to the gains made by 13 sectors, having largely offset the decline in 5 indices and the stagnation of 6 other sectors.

At the top of the ranking, the “Distributors” sector index rose 1.77%, the best sector performance of the day, thanks to the surge of Fenie Brossette (+ 3.99%), Label Vie (+ 2.86 %) and Ennakl (+ 1.73%). In contrast, Auto Hall and Stokvis North Africa fell by 3.23% and 0.08% respectively.

Carried by its unique Taqa Morocco share, the Electricity sector gained 1.73%, followed by “Financing Company and Other Financial Activities” (+ 1.52%) and “Forestry and Paper” (+ 1.37%).

Among the increases of the day are also the indices “Mines” (+ 1.17%), “Agri-food / production” (+ 0.79%) and “Banks” (+ 0.7%).

On the losing side, the “Holding companies-Holdings” sector fell by 3.95%, the largest drop in the session, followed by the “Building and construction materials” indices (-0.93%) and “Building services”. transport ”(-0.66%).

The overall volume of securities exchanges amounted to nearly 418.11 million dirhams (MDH), carried out entirely on the central market. By value, LafargeHolcim drained 207.95 MDH, Afriquia Gaz 72.78 MDH, BCP 42.24 MDH and Attijariwafa Bank 28.73 MDH.

The market capitalization stood at 613.38 billion dirhams (MMDH).

The largest increases were made by Fenie Brossette (+ 3.99% to 64.43 DH), Eqdom (+ 3.96% to 1.233 DH), M2M Group (+ 3.71% to 919 DH), Colorado ( + 3.16% at 59.5 DH) and Label Vie (+ 2.86% at 3.600 DH).

The largest decreases were recorded by Delta Holding (-3.98% to 32.79 DH), Auto Hall (-3.23% to 87 DH), Disway (-1.36% to 582 DH), CIH ( -0.89% to 262.15 DH) and Minière Touissit (-0.77% to 1.686 DH).
