Here are four key points of the weekly indicators of Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) for the period from April 22 to 28, 2021:
1. The dirham appreciated 0.25% against the US dollar and depreciated 0.27% against the euro.
2. As of April 23, 2021, the stock of official reserve assets stood at MAD 303.9 billion (billion dirhams), down 0.1% from one week to the next and up 6 , 4% year-on-year.
3. The overall outstanding amount of BAM interventions comes to 69.3 billion dirhams, of which 25.2 billion dirhams in the form of 7-day advances on call for tenders, 15 billion dirhams in the form of repurchase transactions and 29.1 billion dirhams. MMDH within the framework of programs to support the financing of very small, small and medium-sized enterprises (TPME).
4. On the interbank market, the average daily volume of trade stood at 4.3 billion dirhams and the interbank rate during this period stood at 1.5% on average.
