ONDA: 68% drop in Fez-Saiss passenger traffic in March

The National Airports Office (ONDA) reported a sharp drop in passenger traffic at the end of March at Fez-Saiss airport, down 68.09% compared to March 2020.

According to statistics from the office for the month of March, A total of 84,892 travelers passed through Fez-Saiss airport during the first three months of the current year, against 266,042 passengers during the same period of the year. from before.

At the national level, the overall commercial air passenger traffic recorded, during this period, a decrease of around 57.44% compared to the same period of 2020.

Within the framework of the classification of commercial air traffic by zone, Fès-Saiss airport occupied the 4th position, after those of Casablanca-Mohammed V, Tangier Ibn Battouta and Marrakech-Menara.

In 2020, passenger traffic at Fès-Saïss airport recorded a decrease of 70.91%, compared to the year 2019.

The new terminal at Fès-Saiss airport, which is a platform for several low-cost companies, is tending to increase the capacity of this airport to 2.5 million passengers.
