In the first quarter of 2021, Maroc Telecom Group had more than 73 million customers, an increase of 6.8% compared to the same period of 2020.
In a press release on its quarterly results, the operator notes that this development was driven by the sustained increase in parks in subsidiaries (+ 11.2%).
And to detail that the Mobile fleet amounted to 19.3 million customers, down 3.2% in one year, while the Fixed one continued to grow (+ 5.8% over one year) and has 2 million lines at the end of last March, while the broadband fleet grew by 9.2% to nearly 1.8 million subscribers.
Internationally, the Mobile fleet reached 49,600 customers, spread over Côte d’Ivoire (10,071), Burkina Faso (9,708), Mali (9,567), Benin (4,811), Chad (4,766), Togo (3,184), Niger (3,048), Mauritania (2,667), Gabon (1,585) and Central African Republic (192).
Fixed-line subscribers amounted to 343 subscribers in Mali (182), Burkina Faso (75), Mauritania (58) and Gabon (27), while the fixed broadband network stood at 135 customers.
