The epidemiological assessment of the last 24 hours in Morocco reports 50 new severe cases admitted to intensive care. The national total of severe cases in the Kingdom since the start of the pandemic stands at 381 cases, the Ministry of Health said on Thursday, April 22.
The number of new tests carried out in 24 hours is 8,762, continues the same source, for a national total of 5,687,764 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic.
In addition, Morocco has recorded in the last 24 hours, 7 deaths due to Covid-19, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 8,976. The case fatality rate is still stable this Thursday at 1.77%.
In details, the deaths are distributed as follows: 4 deaths in the region of Casablanca-Settat all in the city of Casablanca, 1 death in the region of Fès-Meknes in the city of Fez, 1 death in the region of Marrakech– Safi in the city of Marrakech and finally a new death in the region of Souss-Massa in the city of Tiznit. The other regions of the Kingdom have not recorded any deaths in the last 24 hours.
Morocco has also recorded 520 healings bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 493,873 remissions. The cure rate stood at 97.23% this Thursday while the total active cases show a slight increase to 5.089 cases (1%).
In addition, and as indicated by the monitoring and monitoring platform Hespress, covid.hespress.com/fr, the Kingdom has identified over the past 24 hours, 600 new confirmed cases of Covid-19, bearing the national total of proven contaminations at 507,938.
However, the occupancy rate of the intensive care beds dedicated to Covid-19 reached 12.1%, while the cumulative incidence rate reached 1396.6%. The cases under intubation are 14 while the total of cases under non-invasive ventilation is 207.
Regarding vaccination, the number of beneficiaries of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign reached 4,707,658, including 4,207,298 totally, reports the department of Khalid Ait Taleb.
