Hespress’s watch and monitoring platform, covid.hespress.com/fr, details that Morocco now has 505,811 confirmed cases, 8,944 deaths (i.e. a mortality rate of 1.77%), 491,810 healings, a total of 5,657,536 tests (an increase of 5,492), and 4,966 cases under treatment, including 430 in serious condition (14 under intubation). In addition, 4,655,007 people have received a first dose of the vaccine since the launch of the campaign while 4,186,449 are on the second dose, the health ministry said.
The most affected region is that of Casablanca-Settat which has 218 new cases including 197 in Casablanca, 12 in Nouaceur, 7 in Médiouna and 2 in El Jadida.
The 2nd most affected region is that of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra which records 35 new contaminations including 14 in Skhirate-Témara, 8 in Kénitra, 5 in Rabat, 5 in Sidi Kacem, 2 in Salé and 1 in Khemisset.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra is followed by that of Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra which identifies 22 new cases in Laâyoune (21) and Boujdour (1).
The 4th region most affected by new cases is that of Marrakech-Safi with 18 new cases distributed as follows: 15 in Marrakech, 2 in El Kelaâ de Sraghna and 1 in Youssoufia.
For its part, Souss-Massa notes 16 new contaminations including 6 in Agadir, 5 in Tiznit, 4 in Inezgane and 1 in Chtouka Ait-Baha while that of Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima has 14 in Tangier (5), M ‘diq-Fnideq (5) and Tetouan (4).
12 new cases were observed in Béni Mellal-Khénifra including 7 in Khouribga, 2 in Béni Mellal, 1 in Khénifra, 1 in Fquih Ben Salah and 1 in Azilal, i.e. one more in the region of Dakha-Oued Eddahab in Oued Ed- Dahab (11).
The Oriental region takes stock of 6 new infections in Oujda-Angad (3), Jerada (2) and Driouch (1), as well as that of Fès-Meknes (3 in Fez, 2 in Taounate and 1 in Taza) and Darâa-Tafilalet (3 in Ouarzazate, 2 in Errachidia and 1 in Zagora).
