Ford Kuga succeeds Volvo S60 and was elected, Tuesday in Casablanca, car of the year 2021 in Morocco, within the framework of the second edition of “Car Of The Year”, organized by the Association of importers of vehicles in Morocco (AIVAM).
Following a series of static and dynamic tests carried out by a jury, the new Kuga won this competition against 6 other finalist cars, namely, Audi Q3 Sportback, Mercedes GLA, Kia Niro, Renault Captur, Renault Clio 5 and Peugeot 2008.
The objective of this event is to elect the car of the year by a selected panel of journalists and experts specializing in the automobile, ensuring transparency and fairness to all participating brands.
On this occasion, Adil Bennani, president of AIVAM, stressed that this event embodies the vision of the Association to develop the automotive market in Morocco, explaining that it is to shed light on a vehicle that will have seduced a jury by its technical, static and dynamic characteristics.
This edition featured in the first round, in addition to the 7 aforementioned models, Audi Q3, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé and 4 Series Coupé, Ford Focus, Hyundai Sonata, Kia K5 and Seltos, Nissan Juke, Opel Corsa, Seat Arona and Skoda Scala and Kamiq.
COTY Morocco’s jury is made up of automotive journalists, with the participation of two women this year. They are Jalil Bennani (Les Eco) President of the jury, Mohamed Akisra (Le Matin), Ahmed Belghiti (the economist), Rafik Lahlou (Automotive expert), David Jeremie (Challenge), Mehdi Laaboudi (Wandaloo.com ), Leila Benjelloun (Golf du Maroc), Khadija Dinia (Luxury life Morocco) and Nabil Sbai Tanji (Auto-Magazine).
The first edition of the “Car Of The Year 2020” competition was won by the Volvo S60 model.
