Coronavirus / Morocco: Deaths have fallen in recent 24 hours

Deaths from the coronavirus in Morocco recorded a drop on Wednesday, with 2 deaths in 24 hours. This drop in cases comes after several days of a considerable increase in deaths and severe cases.

The two cases of death recorded in the Kingdom on Wednesday are in the Rabat – Salé-Kenitra region, precisely in Khemisset as well as in the Oriental region in Driouch where a person lost his life as a result of covid-19. Thus, the total number of deaths recorded since the start of the pandemic in Morocco is brought to 8,867 cases.

Morocco has also recorded 641 cures bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 486,349 remissions. As for the cure rate, it reached 97.3% of the national average, indicates the Ministry of Health in its daily bulletin monitoring the pandemic in Morocco.

Also according to the department of Khalid Ait Taleb, the number of severe cases has reached 454 including 38 recorded in the last 24 hours. In addition, no less than 20 cases are under intubation in intensive care units while 231 people are under ventilation.

It should be noted that the occupancy rate of intensive care beds dedicated to Covid-19 reached 14.4%, recording an increase of one point with a case fatality rate of 1.8%

In addition, and as indicated by the monitoring and monitoring platform Hespress,, the Kingdom has identified during the last 24 hours, 663 new confirmed cases of Covid-19, bearing the national total of contaminations since the start of the pandemic in Morocco which declared itself in March 2020 to 499,688 cases.
