Coronavirus: China to provide 10 million doses of Sinopharm vaccine between April and May

This Wednesday, April 7, 2021, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Habib El Malki, met with Li Zhanshu, president of the Chinese People’s National Assembly, on relations between the two countries and between the two legislative institutions, and a number of issues of common interest. The Chinese leader took the opportunity to confirm the delivery of 10 million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine between the months of April and May 2021.

During this meeting, the two parties appreciated the new dynamism in the path of Moroccan-Chinese cooperation since King Mohammed VI‘s visit to China in 2016 and the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between the two countries, “Where bilateral cooperation has experienced a qualitative leap in the economic, commercial and other fields. ”

Li Zhanshu confirmed that the phone call made by King Mohammed VI with the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, in August last year, gave new impetus to the partnership. between the two countries in the fight against Covid-19 in particular, and announced that his country had previously supplied the Kingdom with a significant number of vaccines against the Covid-19 virus, and will be keen to provide the Kingdom with around 10 million doses of vaccines during the months of April and May of this year, saluting in the same context the leadership of King Mohammed VI and the remarkable results obtained by Morocco in the fight against the pandemic.
