Covid-19 / Morocco: 523 cures in 24 hours, cure rate at 97.05%

In just 24 hours, Morocco has recorded 523 healings bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 469,868 remissions. The cure rate, this Tuesday, March 2, is 97.05%.

In addition, the number of severe or critical cases has fallen slightly. Morocco has this Tuesday 380 cases in intensive care, including 34 new in 24 hours. In addition, the total of cases under treatment stands at 5,646 cases (1.17%).

Morocco also recorded 8 new deaths from Covid-19 in 24 hours, bringing the total deaths since the start of the pandemic to 8,645 with a death rate still stable at 1.79%.

In details, the deaths break down as follows: 1 in the Casablanca-Settat region in the city of Casablanca, 2 deaths in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region (1 in Sale, 1 in Khemisset), 1 new death in the Oriental region in Berkane, 1 death in the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region in the city of Larache while the Marrakech-Safi region recorded 2 deaths in Marrakech. The region of Oued Ed-Dahab recorded 1 death in the city of Oued Ed-Dahab. The other regions of the Kingdom not recorded no deaths in the last 24 hours.

It should be recalled that Morocco has recorded during the last 24 hours, 393 new confirmed cases of Covid-19, bringing the national total of proven contaminations to 484,159. The cumulative incidence rate is therefore 1331.8 / 100,000 inhabitants.

In addition, the total of tests is 5,186,942 (+9,854), while the number of patients under intubation is now 24. The occupancy rate of the intensive care beds dedicated to Covid-19 has reached 12%. , while the total of non-invasive ventilation cases is 229.

Regarding vaccination, the number of beneficiaries of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign has reached 3,568,670 against 232,980 beneficiaries of the second dose of the vaccine, reports the department of Khalid Ait Taleb.

The Ministry of Health therefore invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
