Rabat – A total of 15,754 hearings were held remotely in the various courts of the Kingdom, from April 27, 2020 to February 26, 2021, during which 300,269 cases were scheduled, said the Superior Council of the Judicial Power (CSPJ) .

The council said in a statement that thousands of detainees have benefited from the remote trial system during the same period, without having to travel to the courts, said the CSPJ in a statement.

This project, the results of which are very significant, comes in consecration of the values โ€‹โ€‹of openness and communication around the measures adopted by the CSPJ, in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus in Morocco, underlines the same source.

The CSPJ reiterated its continued commitment to carry out this work in order to allow the courts to fulfill their constitutional duties and to enshrine the right to a fair trial within a reasonable time, particularly in this exceptional context marked by the spread of Covid-19.

The institution highlighted the sense of responsibility and commitment of all components of the judicial system, while calling on all actors to strictly respect the recommended prevention and precautionary measures, in order to avoid the associated risks. to the pandemic.
