Hespress’s watch and monitoring platform, covid.hespress.com/fr, details that Morocco now has 482,128 confirmed cases, 8,592 deaths (i.e. a mortality rate of 1.78%), 466,815 healings, 4,667,603 cases excluded after negative laboratory tests (an increase of 9,351), and 6,721 cases under treatment, including 437 in serious condition (33 under intubation).
In addition, 2,911,635 people have received a first dose of the vaccine since the launch of the campaign while 37,310 are on the second dose, the health ministry said.
The Casablanca-Settat region recorded 211 new cases including 182 in Casablanca, 11 in Mohammadia, 5 in Nouaceur, 5 in El Jadida, 3 in Settat, 2 in Médiouna, 2 in Benslimane and 1 in Sidi Bennour.
2nd most affected region is that of Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima which has 48 new contaminations in Al Hoceima (16), Tanger-Assilah (12), Larache (8), M’diq-Fnideq (6), Chefchaouen (2 ) and Tetouan (4).
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima is followed by Rabat-Salé-Kénitra which identifies 41 new cases including 13 in Sale, 11 in Kénitra, 6 in Skhirate-Témara, 6 in Rabat and 5 in Sidi Slimane.
4th most affected region is that of the Oriental which takes stock of 39 new contaminations in Oujda-Angad (26), Nador (6), Berkane (5) and Taourirt (2).
For its part, the Marrakech-Safi region has 25 new contaminations including 14 in Marrakech, 6 in El Kelaâ des Sraghna, 3 in Essaouira and 2 in Safi, while that of Souss-Massa records 19 (11 in Tiznit, 7 in Agadir, and 1 in Inezgane).
10 new cases were identified in the region of Beni Mellal-Khénifra in Béni Mellal (4), Khénifra (4), Khouribga (1) and Fquih Ben Salah (1), while Guelmim-Oued Noun observed 7 new contaminations (5 in Guelmim and 2 in Assa-Zag).
6 new cases were observed in the region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab in Oued Ed-Dahab, which is one less than Fès-Meknes (3 in Fès 1 in Meknes and 1 in Taounate) and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra in Laâyoune.
The last region to register new cases is that of Darâa-Tafilalet with 3 in Tinghir, Midelt and Zagora.
