Legal use of cannabis on the menu of the Government Council

A Council of Government will meet on Thursday under the chairmanship of Head of Government Saad Dine El Otmani.

At the start of its work, the council will consider a bill on the legal use of cannabis, the Head of Government’s Department said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Council will then examine three draft decrees implementing the decree-law relating to the promulgation of exceptional measures for the benefit of certain employers affiliated to the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) and their declared employees, as well as certain categories of self-employed workers and self-employed persons insured with the CNSS affected by the repercussions of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19), concerning the sub-sectors relating to private sports halls, private nurseries and cultural and creative industries, the statement said.

The Council will complete its work by examining proposals for appointment to high office in accordance with the provisions of article 92 of the Constitution, according to the same source.
