Hespress’s watch and monitoring platform, covid.hespress.com/fr, details that Morocco now has 481,709 confirmed cases, 8,574 deaths (i.e. a mortality rate of 1.78%), 466,105 healings, 4,638,671 cases excluded after negative laboratory tests (an increase of 8,507), and 7,030 cases under treatment, including 440 in serious condition (33 under intubation).
In addition, 2,635,859 people have received a first dose of the vaccine since the launch of the campaign while 31,232 are in the second dose, the health ministry said.
The Casablanca-Settat region recorded 266 new cases including 203 in Casablanca, 16 in Mohammadia, 14 in Nouaceur, 12 in El Jadida, 10 in Settat, 7 in Berrechid, 2 in Médiouna and 2 in Benslimane.
The 2nd most affected region is that of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, which has 56 new contaminations in Salé (12), Kénitra (21), Skhirate-Témara (17), Rabat (5) and Sidi Slimane (1).
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra is followed by Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima which identifies 51 new cases including 20 in Tanger-Assilah, 10 in Larache, 9 in Al Hoceima, 7 in M’diq Fnideq, 2 in Tétouan, 2 in Ouezzane and 1 in Chefchaouen.
4th most affected region is that of the Oriental which takes stock of 18 new contaminations in Nador (6), Oujda-Angad (4), Berkane (4) and Taourirt (4).
For its part, the Marrakech-Safi region has 18 new contaminations in Marrakech (13), Safi (2), Youssoufia (1), El Kelaa Sraghna (1) and Chichaoua (1), while that of Souss-Massa records 8 (3 in Tinghir, 2 in Errachidia, 1 in Ouezzane and 1 in Midelt).
7 new cases were identified in the region of Daraâ-Tafilalet including 3 in Tinghir, 2 in Errachidia, 1 in Ouarzazate and 1 in Midelt, as was Dakhla-Oued Eddahab in Oued Ed-Dahab.
4 new cases were observed in the regions of Beni Mellal-Khénifra (2 in Béni Mellal, 1 in Khouribga and 1 in Khénifra), Fès-Meknes (2 in Fès and 2 in Meknes) and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (3 in Laâyoune and 1 in Terfaya).
The last region to register new cases is that of Guelmim Oued Noun with 3 in Guelmim.
