The Casablanca Stock Exchange closes in the green

The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed its trading on Tuesday in good shape, driven by the good performance of the sectors “Participation and real estate development”, “Mines” and “Engineering in industrial equipment”.

At the end of a day of trading in the green, the Masi, a global index made up of all equity-type securities, gained 0.68% to 11,716.70 points, and the Morocco Stock Index 20 (MSI20) advanced 0.71% to 960.07 points.

As for the Madex, a compact index composed of stocks quoted on a continuous basis, it gained 0.70% to 9,552.08 points.

With regard to international indices, the FTSE CSE Morocco 15 rose 0.75% to 10,718.69 points and the FTSE Morocco All-Liquid gained 0.78% to 10,100.61 points.

The benchmark Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) “Casablanca ESG 10”, for its part, gained 0.88% to 901.64 points.

From a sector perspective, the “Participation and real estate development” index posted the best performance of the day (+ 3.65%), favored by Douja Prom Addoha (+ 3.94%), Res Dar Saada (+ 3.51%) and Alliances (+ 2.99%).

The “Mines” index ended the session with a gain of 2.87%, thanks to the good performance of Minière Touissit (+ 3.75%) and Managem (2.75%).

Also on the rise is the “Engineering in Industrial Equipment” sector, which advanced 2.64%, boosted by Stroc Industrie (3.95%) and Delattre Levivier Maroc (+ 1.80%).

In contrast, the “Utilities” sector recorded the largest decline (-1.74%), followed by “Distributors” (-0.66%), “Real estate investment companies” (-0, 57%) and “Agri-food / Production” (-0.44%).

The overall volume of securities exchanges amounted to more than 176 million dirhams (MDH), carried out entirely on the central market.

Market capitalization, for its part, stood at nearly 605.8 billion dirhams (MMDH).

The largest increases were made by IB (+ 3.99% to 35.98 DH), M2M Group (+ 3.99% to 870 DH), Microdata (+ 3.99% to 691.40 DH ), Fenie Brossette (+ 3.99% at MAD 48.52) and Stroc Industrie (+ 3.95% at MAD 19.75).

The largest decreases were recorded by Lydec (-1.74% to 339 DH), Label Vie (-1.38% to 3,150 DH), Immorente Invest (-0.92% to 92.64 DH), Cosumar ( -0.88% to 226.50 DH) and Atlanta Sanad (-0.71% to 78.44 DH).
