Agadir: A Frenchman arrested for sexual assault on minor children (DGSN)
Rabat – Elements of the prefectural service of the judicial police in the city of Agadir arrested on Monday a 51-year-old Frenchman, suspected of having committed sexual assault on minor children and who was the subject of a international judgment issued against him by the French judicial authorities.
The pointing operation of this foreign national, carried out in the database of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), revealed that he was wanted at the international level and was the subject of a Red Notice issued by the French judicial authorities, and this for his alleged involvement in the exposure of two minor children of his relatives to sexual assault in Valenciennes, France, said the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) in a press release.
The suspect was taken into custody in accordance with the extradition procedure, while the competent French authorities were notified of this arrest in order to expedite the transfer of the extradition file, the same source specifies.
This arrest falls within the framework of international cooperation relations in the security fields, as well as within the framework of the efforts made by the Moroccan security services to track down people wanted at the international level for cross-border crimes, concludes the DGSN.
