Agadir: Three arrests for alleged links with a criminal network active in the organization of illegal emigration and trafficking in human beings

Agadir – Elements of the prefectural service of the judicial police of Agadir arrested, Friday evening, three individuals, one of whom is a repeat offender, for their alleged links with a criminal network active in the organization of illegal emigration and trafficking in human beings.

The suspects, aged between 24 and 32, were apprehended during a security operation carried out at “Hay Salam” in Agadir, in the act of preparing for an illegal emigration operation via the sea routes, indicates the General Directorate of the National Security (DGSN) in a statement, adding that they were arrested in a house located in the same neighborhood, where they housed six candidates for illegal emigration.

The searches carried out in the context of this case made it possible to seize two life jackets, the same source continues.

The suspects were placed in police custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecution, to elucidate all the ins and outs of this case, and identify all the ramifications and possible links of this criminal network, concludes the DGSN.
