Sidi Kacem: Two arrests for falsifying the results of Covid-19 tests (DGSN)
Rabat – Elements of the Judicial Police Brigade under the provincial district of Sidi Kacem arrested on Thursday a technician and the husband of the owner of a medical analysis laboratory for their alleged involvement in the falsification of the results of Covid-19 screening tests.
According to preliminary data from the investigation, the two accused, aged 26 and 39, were apprehended in the act of rigging the results of tests for the new coronavirus, indicates the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release, specifying that the defendants awarded certificates of analysis to people who have never performed them, in return for a sum of 600 DH each.
The searches carried out resulted in the seizure of 23 falsified medical certificates including fictitious analysis results and 08 copies of National Identity Cards of a group of people wishing to perform the test, the statement added.
The suspects were placed in police custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office to elucidate the ins and outs of this case and determine all the criminal acts with which they are accused, concludes the DGSN.
