Regarding the issue of the Moroccan Sahara, the two ministers reiterated the need for all parties to respect the ceasefire and to remain fully engaged in the political process under the aegis of the United Nations.
During this meeting, the statement continued, the two ministers pledged to strengthen coordination for stabilization and development in Africa, particularly in the Sahel region.
They also stressed the need to deepen cooperation between the two countries at the multilateral level and within international bodies, in several areas, in particular those of migration, interfaith dialogue, sustainable development and climate change.
