Moroccan presidency of the Arab Blood Transfusion Services Authority extended for a second term
Rabat – The Moroccan presidency of the Arab Blood Transfusion Services Authority has been extended for a second term for the period 2020-2022, in the person of Dr Khadija Lahjouji, Acting Director of the National Blood Transfusion Center and ‘hematology.
In accordance with the provisions of the statutes of the Arab Authority, a call for candidatures was launched for the presidency of this organization on the occasion of the 19th meeting held by videoconference on October 27 and 28, 2020, under the supervision of the general secretariat of the Arab League and with the participation of representatives of most of the member countries, said a statement from the Ministry of Health.
During the same meeting, it was decided to extend the presidency assured by Ms. Lahjouji for a new term, “in recognition of her efforts and achievements in the field of blood transfusion services throughout the Arab world”.
According to the press release, Morocco worked during its presidency of the body to breathe new life into its action, by involving as many member states as possible and by paving the way for a more intense sharing of expertise and experiences. in the matter.
