Madaëf Eco6: Call for projects to boost entrepreneurship at Saïdia Resorts

From January 12 to February 22, the Société de développement Saïdia (SDS) launched a call for projects as part of the 3rd edition of the “Madaëf Eco6” program to boost entrepreneurship at the Saïdia Resorts resort.

The Saïdia Resorts edition is open to all project leaders, start-ups, very small, small and medium-sized enterprises (TPME) and large companies, indicates the SDS in a press release, specifying that this call for projects is being held via the platform. “”.

Eligible projects for this edition must relate to the worlds of Saïdia Resorts and its hinterland via cultural activities, sustainable development, soft mobility, shops and restaurants, sport and leisure, as well as services tourists and hotel units, explains the same source.

And to add that the selected candidates will be able to rely on the six support platforms of “Madaëf Eco6”, including professional support through a team of experts, access to markets and funding, spaces for coworking, as well as exclusive Eco6 advantages.

The SDS intends to make this edition a lever for economic and social inclusion and aims, to this end, to support job creation by motivating young entrepreneurs, in particular those from the Oriental region and this through innovative projects, bringing added value to the resort and which will enrich its economic and tourist offer.

Nicknamed the “blue pearl” of Morocco, Saïdia Resorts, which covers an area of ​​712 hectares, is home to one of the largest marinas in the entire Mediterranean, with more than 850 rings and a total hotel capacity of 4,300 beds . It has two 18-hole golf courses, an aqua park, a shopping center and restaurants.

The two editions of “Madaëf Eco6”, dedicated to Taghazout Bay and Madaëf Golfs, are currently underway, the press release said. Three other editions of “Madaëf Eco6” will follow in Al Hoceima, Tamuda Bay and Fès.

Created in 2011, SDS is the result of a partnership between Madaëf, Groupe Caisse de depot et de gestion (CDG), which holds 66% of the capital, and Ithmar Capital 34%. Dedicated to the tourism development of Saïdia Resorts, the mission of this company is to participate in the enhancement of the new tourist resort of Saïdia, particularly through the development of a hotel, property and entertainment offer.

The SDS is also in charge of the management and development of the resort’s marina and shopping center. Its objective is to make Saïdia Resorts a leading tourist destination offering all the tourist services required to international standards.
