48,995 active cases, 1,024 in serious condition

With new cases registered in the last 24 hours, Morocco now has 48,995 active cases, including 1,024 in serious condition, 93 under intubation and 396 under non-invasive ventilation.

Likewise, 74 new deaths due to Covid-19 have been identified, bringing the total of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 5,256. The case fatality rate stands this Saturday, November 21, at 1.64%.

In addition, and as indicated by the platform for monitoring and Hespress, covid.hespress.com/fr, the Kingdom has recorded 4,499 cures, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 266,711 remissions. The cure rate is 83.1%.

In details, the deaths are distributed as follows: 23 in the Casablanca-Settat region all in Casablanca, 6 in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region (3 in Sale, 1 in Rabat, 1 in Skhirate-Témara, 1 in Kénitra), 6 deaths in the Oriental region (1 in Oujda-Angad, 1 in Nador, 4 in Guercif), while the Marrakech-Safi region recorded 8 deaths (5 in Marrakech, 2 in Safi, 1 in Chichaoua).

The region of Souss Massa recorded 7 new deaths (2 in Agadir Ida Outanane, 2 in Tiznit, 3 in Taroudant) that the region of Beni Mellal-Khénifra recorded 7 new deaths (2 in Khouribga, 2 in Béni Mellal , 2 in Fquih Ben Salah, 1 in Azilal).

The TangierTetouan-Al Hoceima region recorded 8 deaths (1 Tangier-Assilah, 2 in Ouazzane, 2 in Tetouan, 2 in Larache, 2 in Al Hoceima), while the region of Fès-Meknes recorded 7 deaths (4 in Fès, 1 in Meknes, 1 in Sefrou, 1 in Taounate). As for the region of Laâyoune Sakia El Hamra recorded recorded 1 death in Laâyoune, while the region of Daraâ Tafilalet, it recorded one death in Ouarzazate.

It should be recalled that Morocco has recorded during the last 24 hours, 4,702 new confirmed cases of Covid-19, bringing the national total of proven contaminations to 320,962. Thus the cumulative incidence rate is 883.8 / 100,000 inhabitants. In addition, the number of excluded cases is 3,455,716 (+18,252).

The occupancy rate of intensive care beds dedicated to Covid-19 stood at 37% this Saturday.
