No decrease in investment spending in 2021, says Benchaâboun
Rabat – The investment expenditure of the general state budget has not seen any decrease for the year 2021, said Friday in Rabat, the Minister of Economy, Finance and Reform of the administration, Mohamed Benchaâboun.
“The comparison with fiscal year 2020 should be made without counting the 15 billion dirhams (MMDH) which will be devoted to the Mohammed VI Fund for investment. As a result, the investment expenditure of the general budget of the State has increased of 7 MMDH “, specified Mr. Benchaâboun in his response to interventions to the Finance, Planning and Economic Development Committee under the Chamber of Advisors, during the general discussion of PLF-2021.
And to underline that the amount of 15 billion dirhams has not been double counted under public investment in 2021, because it will be transferred from the 2020 budget.
On another note, Mr. Benchaaboun said that the realization rate of public investments has been around 80% in recent years, stressing that “we are making sure to increase the rate of realization of investments in 2021, including 45 billion dirhams. programmed within the framework of the Mohammed VI Fund for investment which will be endowed with flexible mechanisms with regard to the implementation of the various projects for which it will be responsible “.
