Marrakech: Closing ceremony for the deployment of the prepayment meter management system
Marrakech – A meeting marking the end of the deployment project at the level of all regional entities of the National Office for Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) of a new commercial management system for prepayment meters took place held on Saturday, in Marrakech, in the presence of the Minister of Energy, Mines and the Environment, Mr. Aziz Rebbah, and the Director General of ONEE, Mr. Abderrahim El Hafidi.
This project, which is part of the continuous improvement of the quality of the Office’s services, consisted in the implementation of a new solution based on an integrated software package of international renown interfaced, in real time , with a new generation of standard and interoperable prepayment meters.
The objective of this system is to strengthen the quality of services in isolated and dispersed rural regions, and this through the provision of new functionalities, in particular recharging at any point of sale throughout the entire country. country.
This system also offers the customer the possibility of recharging at any time without necessarily having a recharge card, for new generation meters and maintaining the customer’s Kwh consumption in the event of loss of the code. of recharging, as well as the expansion of the local external network made up of recharging points and energy sales for customers at prepayment meters.
It should be remembered that targeted communication actions were carried out throughout the deployment of the project with the local authorities, the customers concerned and the partners of the Office (managers of External Points of Sale and Installers).
