The city of Casablanca is once again the most affected in terms of death and contamination and has thus recorded an increase in the past 24 hours.
In terms of deaths, The Kingdom recorded an increase in new deaths with a record 60 in 24 hours. As for the case fatality rate, it stands at 1.68%.
The biggest increase was observed in the Casablanca-Settat region on Saturday, October 17. In details, the 60 deaths are distributed as follows: 30 in the Casablanca-Settat region including 21 in Casablanca, 3 in Mohammadia and 4 in Settat, 6 deaths were observed in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra including 2 in Salé, 1 in Skhirate-Témara, 2 in Kénitra and 1 in Sidi Kacem.
6 deaths were also recorded in the Oriental (4 in Oujda-Angad and 2 in Nador), while 5 were recorded in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (3 in Khouribga and 2 in Fquih Ben Salah).
The region of Souss-Massa draws up a toll of 2 deaths including one in Inezgane and 1 in Taroudant. For its part, Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima has 4 new deaths (1 in Tanger-Assilah, 1 in Tétouan, 1 in Chefchaouen and 1 in Al Hoceima).
