The Group of Young Women for Democracy (JFD) is organizing, with the support of the Heinrich Boell Rabat Foundation, this Saturday, October 10, an awareness-raising caravan on the rights of female agricultural workers in the village of Tazaouit in the province of Tiznit on 10/10/2020, in commemoration of the 40th day of the death of the young worker Ghislane.
The tragedy of Ghizlane’s death confirms the suffering of female agricultural workers, and the urgency of effective respect for the rights of all female workers, decent and decent work, and the rights of all, JFD said in a statement.
In this context, the Group reaffirms its commitment to the fight for workers’ rights, equality for all and for a Morocco of rights and justice.
As a reminder, in a post published on her Facebook account, the group of Young Women for Democracy (GJFD), denounces the treatment of Ghizlan, a young agricultural worker who lost her life while on her way to the farm where she was working.
“Ghizlan and all the agricultural workers, work for a salary of 70dhs per day, without social protection, without any respect for their rights and in disregard of the dangers they incur both at the level of their workplace (violence, sexism, harassment ) than in terms of transport conditions (driving and dangerous roads) ”, lamented the collective which demands justice for the young woman.
