Nador: Arrest of an individual for alleged links with a criminal network active in drug trafficking, stolen cars, and forgery and use of forgery (DGSN)
Rabat – Elements of the Judicial Police Brigade under the Nador Provincial Security District arrested on Tuesday on the basis of specific information provided by the services of the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), an individual for alleged links to a criminal network active in drug trafficking, international trafficking in stolen cars, and forgery and use of forgery.
In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicates that the defendant, aged 32, had been arrested, in coordination with the services of the royal gendarmerie in the Selouane area, adding that he made the subject of 7 search warrants at the national level issued by the services of the judicial police and the royal gendarmerie in Nador, Rabat, Laâyoune, Agadir and Selouane.
The searches carried out at the two homes of the suspect, located in Selouane and Ben Taïeb resulted in the seizure of 2 cars, 15 falsified foreign and Moroccan license plates, 5 car registration cards in the name of others and a sum of money estimated at 159,400 dirhams that could come from this criminal activity, the statement continued.
The defendant was placed in police custody at the disposal of the preliminary investigation carried out under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office to elucidate the ins and outs of this case and determine all the criminal acts attributed to the concerned, concludes the DGSN.
