Back to school: More than 270,000 students on the benches of the school in Fez
Fez – A total of 270,721 students returned to school benches for the 2020-21 school year in the prefecture of Fez, against 262,643 a year earlier, an increase of 3.08 pc.
This number is divided between primary education, with 150,795 students, the secondary school student (70,825) and the qualifying (49,101), according to data presented by the prefectural director of national education, Zoheir Chehbi, who spoke Monday during the the ordinary September session of the prefectural council of Fez.
A total of 216,390 students are enrolled in the public sector and 54,331 others in the private sector, said Chehbi, adding that the number of students enrolled in the public sector includes 111,486 enrolled in primary school, 62,375 in college and 42,529 in college. high school.
The distribution of students by sex shows that 111,243 enrolled are boys, he noted, noting that a total of 207,144 enrolled are from urban areas and 9,246 others from rural areas.
The prefectural director of national education also focused on the actions and measures taken to ensure the smooth running of the 2020-2021 school year in the light of the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Prefectural Council of the city of Fez, meeting Monday in ordinary session in September, approved numerous projects of partnership agreements in the social, sports, environmental and educational fields.
